I've taken far, far to long to sort this post out!
Part of it has been the typical excuse, life has gone and got in the way but I must admit part of it is I miss Florida so much it hurts!
Anyway, THE HOLIDAY!
I'll spare you our painful and lengthy journey details and get straight to the good stuff!
Our first day we had a rest and went shopping in the afternoon, yay Walmart! Is there anything they don't sell!? I had great fun wandering around the acres of isle's with my tongue hanging out at all the goodies! I've never seen so many types of doughnuts, cakes, and sweeties! After buying a multitude of 'bad for you' groceries we had spent the best part of a day in there!
Our very first Disney Day of our holiday was in my fave of the Disney parks. MGM totally rocks! It's the most manageable of the four and it has the most amazing and fun things to do.
My eldest and I had a 'faux' tattoo each, she had Stitch on her arm wearing a Santa's hat and I had Minnie mouse on my upper womanly chest! LOL! OK so it's a bit childish but where can you be childish and get away with it if not in Disney??
We saw the Muppet's 3D show which is just amazing, it doesn't matter how many times I've seen it I still laugh just as hard every time!
Sunday we headed to Downtown Disney to do some Christmas shopping, spent far too much as
usual! But hey it was Christmas time and the stuff was so incredibly cute I couldn't be expected to choose!
Hubby took the girls and I into the Rainforest Cafe for lunch, I had the coolest glass in the world! Cool for two reasons, firstly in contained a rather potent margarita! Yum! And secondly the glass was all lit up with pretty lights! I know, I'm easily pleased! The food was fab and the surroundings amazing, full blown thunder and lightening storms, elephants, monkeys and birds surround you amongst other animals. It's really worth doing.
One of the most memorable moments of our entire holiday was seeing my beloved girls and hubby come face to face with beautiful dolphins at Discovery Cove.
We were in a small group, just us and another family of four. Our dolphin was called Copper, she was so pretty. Very young and somewhat inexperienced at only 6 years old but I liked that about her even more. She did her own thing and had us all in stitches when she swam around behind my hubby and nearly knocked him over!
We all had a chance to swim with Copper, kiss her and give her a stroke. Because she was being a bit unpredictable the trainers decided to give her a break and bought Copper's grandmother in to see us for a bit. Copper's grandmother was called Jenny and was 30 years old, what an amazing animal. She had the most incredible eyes, I know it sounds daft but they were the kind of eyes that made you feel at home, at peace and safe.
Well, I didn't realise I'd have so much to say! There is still so much to tell, but I don't want to go on too long and go and bore you!
